Cablecar/Chairlift Prada-Costabella + Path CAI 658 from Rifugio Fiori del Baldo (1850m asl) to Rifugio Telegrafo (2147m asl)
Difficulty: medium-easy
Physical effort: 2 out of 5
Ascent: 440m
Climbing time: 1/1,5h
Main difficulties: pay attention over “Passo del Camino” when te paths becomes narrower and, when unexperienced, please avoid the shortcut running on the western side of the mountain, but keep following path 658.
To avoid: the easiest way to get to us, using the cablecar “Prada-Costabella” (for any info: click here).
This easy hike conntects the summit station of the cable car at 1850m to the hut at 2147m with one hour walk along a military road first and then through a proper mountain path. Anyhow we reccommend the right mountain equipement such as mountain boots and trekking apparel considering you are walking over 2000m asl. Please  check the weather forecast as well. Wonderful views over Lake Garda, River Adige Valley and the mountain surroundings are the main feature of this path along which our trekking guide propose guided tour many times a week. Difficulty: medium/high
Physical effort: 4 out of 5
Ascent: 760m
Climbing time: 2h 15min
Main difficulties: high rocky steps in the central part.
To avoid: during the warmest hours and by families with kids (<10 years old) or by people with problems with their leg joints..
Please follow the red&white marks during the first 20 minutes in order to have a comfortable ascent.

Paths CAI 652, “Sentiero Bovi” or “Marocco” (Mountain Road Gen. Andrea Graziani 1555m – Rifugio Telegrafo 2147m)

Attention! Starting point not accessibile by winter time!

Climbing time: 1h 45min
Main difficulties: high rocky steps in the central part.

Ascent: 920m
Climbing time: 2h 45min
Main difficulties difficoltà: none.
Long but technically easy ascent to Rifugio Telegrafo. Path also suitable for families with kids.

Path CAI 651 (“Malcesine – Monte Baldo” Cablecar summit station 1753m – Rifugio Telegrafo 2147m)
Difficulty: high
Physical effort: 4 out of 5
Ascent: 600m
Climbing time: 5h
Main difficulties: long hike along Monte Baldo ridge; there are no steep parts, but a few parts are exposed.
To avoid: by families with kids and when not trained.


Path CAI 654 (Val delle Nogare 1100m – Rifugio Telegrafo 2147m)

Difficulty: medium/high
Physical effort: 4 out of 5
Ascent: 1050m
Climbing time: 2h 45min /3h
Main difficulties: exposed and steep parts along the “Forcellin” detour.
To avoid: the “Forcellin” detour for families with kids.

Path CAI 654 (Assenza 65m – Rifugio Telegrafo 2147m)

Difficulty: high
Physical effort: 5 out of 5
Ascent: 2100m
Climbig time: 6h
Main difficulties: long ascent from Lake Garda to the highest mountain hut of Monte Baldo.
It is a good idea to think about spending the night at the Rifugio Telegrafo.
To avoid: when not trained.

ATTENTION: itinerary also suitable to climb to the hut by mountain bike.

Main difficulties: none.
Long ascent to Rifugio Telegrafo, but with wonderful views over Lake Garda.

Path CAI 655 + DIFFERENT OPTIONS (Prada 995m – Rifugio Telegrafo 2147m)

Difficulty: medium/high
Physical effort: 4 out 5
Ascent: 1200m
Climbing time: 4h
Main difficulties: orientation at the beginng and during the first part of the hike; following path 655 (it departs among the houses below the old lift) you can reach “Baiti di Ortigara”. From there you can get to Rifugio Telegrafo with different paths. We suggest to have a good hiking map of the area.
